Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Last week i was vomiting heaps and the next day my jaw was so bad i couldnt chew food properly. A week later and my jaw is still so sore on my left side when i bite down i feel like its not inlined properly and it really hurts. Wat could this be from?
As per your query you have symptoms of sore and painful jaw on left side and apart from that you had heapes of vomit which is something you should be concerned about as it seems that your symptoms are related to trigeminal neuralgia and related to blood vessels of heart as trigeminal neuralgia are caused by a blood vessel pressing on the root of the nerve where the nerve comes out from the brain through the skull.
I would suggest you to visit dentist once and get it properly examined. If visual examination will not be sufficient dentist may prescribe you MRI for proper diagnosis. if symptoms trigeminal neuralgia related take Carbamazepine, Gabapentin, Baclofen as first line treatment for your condition.
Surgical ablation and micro-vascular decompression are other treatment options for your condition.
Maintain proper oral hygiene to prevent exaggeration of symptoms.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
