What Causes Sore Burning Throat?

Hi, for the past 2 days I've had a sore burning throat. I have the constant need to keep clearing my throat along with enlarged circumvallate papillae. I don't see any white spots in my mouth, but I do have the feeling of blisters trying to form on the roof of my mouth. My throat feels as if I've talked too much, although it's not hoarse. I do have a runny & stuffy nose & feel like sneezing every now & then. Also, my neck feels a little tender to touch, mainly on the right side underneathe my jaw. I'm really worried, what could this be?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain the symptoms seems to be due to Viral throat infection leading to runny stuffy nose, sore throat and also swollen lymph nodes under the jaw..
Nothing to worry, consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and in case viral infection antibiotics like Azithromycin or Augmentin can be advised to prevent secondary bacterial infection and to be taken for 5 days.
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.
Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily.
Do warm saline gargles.
Gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine can relieve the burning and pain..
Avoid spicy and hard foods.
Steam inhalations and using a humidifier in your room can add up to humidity and soothe the throat..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
