General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The sore buttocks and UTI are secondary to possible bacterial infection of the urinary tract, lack of precise hydration level or others. My guidelines for better recovery:
- Drink more liquids
- Avoid use of public urinals
- Wear loose, clean, cotton inner wears
- Avoid intercourse (if active at present)
- Continue antibiotics prescribed by your doctor
- Urinary alkalizer as potassium hydrochloride after discussion with your doctor
- Chew-able vitamin C supplements

Do remain in regular follow up with your OBGYN for best guidelines.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
