General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, she needs evaluation with Doppler ultrasound as the symptoms you are mentioning can be because of deep venous thrombosis, as soreness to touch and swelling as well as with the history of malignancy before, needs evaluation as if so it may need anticoagulants therapy for next few months.

Also, local anti-inflammatory drugs like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
