What Causes Sore In Nose And Dizziness?

Almost two years ago I got a sore in my nose. I had this sore for about four months before it cleared. While I had this sore I was slightly dizzy and had some oscillopia. A few days after the sore went away I started getting dizzier this lasted for about a month, and then one morning I woke up and the room was spinning. I have not been the same since. I am still dizzy all day everyday for two years now. When I was 18 I had this same sore and had the same experience in the beginning, but not the spinning. I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and was given medicine and the symptoms went away after a few weeks. Do you think I could possibly have had a sinus infection all this time? I cannot get a proper diagnosis, because the sore is now gone. I know these stories are related, because I had the same experience in the beginning process. What is your opinion please?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of sore in the nose 2 years ago, lasted for 4 months, there was dizziness, diagnosed as sinusitis which got cleared on proper antibiotics.
Yes, your suspicion that all these things are related is right, all are surely inter-connected. Dizziness can be due to the inflammation of the vestibular apparatus.
The discharge from the infected sinuses caused the nasal sore and thus other symptoms too.
I would advised you the following:
Tests of blood particularly for Sugar- diabetes
CT scan of the sinuses.
Clinical evaluation by an ENT Surgeon for proper diagnosis and proper treatment.
