What Causes Sore Mouth, Redness And Dryness In Inner Parts Of The Mouth?
My mouth is sore. My inner parts of my mouth around the lips, tip of tongue, gums..and my gums are really bright red and my mouth is very dry. They don t itch at all; just sore. What is it? It began Thursday night into Friday morning. It s not gotten any worse or better. I am swishing warm salt water around in my mouth. The only new food I ate that day was yam biscuits made of yams, flour, baking soda, baking powder butter and milk.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore mouth, redness and dryness in inner parts of the mouth which seems to be due to recurrent aphthous stomatitis and it could be due to dehydration, stress and intake of acidic foods.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit oral physician once and get it examined completely. Start proper course of antibiotics. Avoid intake of sharp and spicy food. Do warm saline gargles and antiseptic mouthwash rinses. Suck on ice cubes. Apply numbing gel.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
