What Causes Sore Neck After Coughing?

Im a bit sick, have had a very mild sore throat off and on for two days and body aches the first day. Last night I woke up coughing and it felt like my throat was completely raw. I kept coughing through out the night and still am, it feels like something is stuck. I noticed in the middle of the night that the front of my neck was sore, at the bottom on my neck between my collar bones. When I woke the inside of my throat wasn t as sore anymore but neck was still as well as being horse. Thank you for the help.

You seem to be recovering from a viral infection, and cough is common in such cases; continuous coughing would make the throat raw.
Do some steam inhalations with tincture of benzoin and gargle with warm saline; drink lots of water and avoid smoking, alcohol and colas till you recover- it might take some time but it doesn't look like anything serious yet.
