What Causes Sore Neck With Painful Bending Of Head?

I am 42 yr old female...have a had a cold in the past few days, went to bed with a sore neck last night, now I can't bend my head forward to my chest...side to side is fine, but can hardly move it forward...of course I am aware of meningitis, but not sure if I have just pulled something, no fever, no vomiting
