What Causes Sore Nipples, Backache, Increased Sex Drive, Acne With Negative Pregnancy?

Hi, Me and my boyfriend haven t had sex for about four weeks (the day I took my last pill) since then I ve had really sore nipples,backache, increased sex drive, and acne. Iv taken a pregnancy test but it was negative. What could be causing these symptoms?

Your symptoms might be due to the pills you've consumed. Emergency contraceptive pills has side effects like stomach pain, dizziness, headache, breast pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, changes in menstrual cycle, back ache etc.

Also these pills will reduce the sexual desire & based on the hormonal combination in the pill acne might decrease or flare up.

And it's not 100% protective. So chances of getting pregnant is still there. I advice you to,
- Do serum beta HCG test which is more reliable than HPT to rule out pregnancy.
- Consult your doctor for further assistance
