This morning I woke up fine, but over the last couple of ours I have some pain above my right breast and more in the upper chest area. There is now a knot like right over the bone and it s gotten very sore. This all happened quickly. It felt like I had been hit with something.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sore painful lump in the upper chest . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like infections , inflammation , tumors , trauma , boils , abscesses , hematoma , benign and malignant tumors or cysts . I would suggest you to consult general surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order biopsy , check tenderness and consistency and order x-ray to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may put you on antibiotics along with anti inflammatory or may drain the lump . Doctor may also recommend surgical removal or radiaotherapy . Apply warm compresses on lump .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
