Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had protected sex three days ago for the first time in three months. The day after the tip of my penis was sore and sensitive to touch. Now it hurts when I pee and the tip of my penis is red and is still sensitive to touch. It has been three days now. Do I need to see a doctor? Is there anything I can do?
A sore penis after sexual activities isn't always a cause for concern. Soreness of penis may result from irritation of penis skin due to friction of sex, delayed ejaculation, vigorous sexual activities, sexually transmitted diseases, allergic reactions due to own semen or using of condoms or lubricants, prostatitis, urinary tract Infectios, yeast Infection, urethritis etc.
Treatment depends on causes. Some investigations like urine R/M/E & C/S, urethral swab for C/S, pelvic ultrasound etc and then treat them accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your questions. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Zubayer Alam, General And Family Physician,
