What Causes Sore Swollen Glands Under The Chin While On Zpac For Sinus Infection?

I am a 33 yr old female who is on zpac for a sinus infection. I have some pretty painfully sore swollen glands on the left side under my chin and this afternoon noticed that i am also all bruised under there as well. Do I need to be alarmed, or go in to have this checked out?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain swollen glands under the left side of chin along with bruised feeling seems to be swollen and inflamed submandibular lymph nodes and as you are having an active sinus infection the swollen lymph nodes seems to be due to it..
As the nodes are painful it is indicative of infection and you need not to worry as when the infection will subside gradually the lymph nodes will regress in size..
You should continue taking z-pak and along with it you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen to relieve pain and inflammation..
You can also do steam inhalation and saline nasal irrigation and use decongestant nasal drops..
Do warm compresses over the lymph nodes..
Sip on plenty of warm water..
