What Causes Sore Throat Along With Swollen Lymph Nodes?

Hello, ive been sick for couple of days which include the following symtoms, minor sore throat(swallowing), neck pain(back,left and right) swollen neck lymph nodes, back spinal aching down to the legs, difficulty sleeping. Taking warm bath takes away the pain. Any idea what it is? Do i need to see professional? Seems to be a bit better now but still....not sure what it is

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat along with swollen lymph nodes which seems to be due to strep throat which is a bacterial infection. Need not to panic about it. I would suggest you to start with antibiotics which are first line of treatment option and take Calpol as well to avoid fever and throat pain. You should sip on lukewarm water and take throat lozenges. Avoid spicy and rough food. Take diet rich in soft food. Take anti inflammatory medications. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Get blood tests done if required. Take proper course of antibiotics to subside infection completely.
