What Causes Sore Throat And Bigger Lymph Nodes?

Male 32 5'6" 165. For the last 4-5 days I have had a small streak in the back of my throat of the left side. It has not increased or decreased in size. I do not have a sore throat however when I turn my neck it is sore and one of my lymph nodes is big.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your throat and lympadenopathy.

As you said you have a lymph node which is visible, you can check it's consistency and the tenderness, if it is painful and relatively soft it is because of infection and need not to be worried any more.

In case lymph node is hard and firmly attached it needs to be evaluated more properly with ULTRASOUND scan or even may need FNAC test too.

You can have chlorhexidene gargles till. But consult an ENT spacialist as soon as possible.
