What Causes Sore Throat And Cough?
I developed a sore throat and cough a couple of days ago. Figured it was a cold. Started to cough up sputum today, yellowish, so I figured bronchitis. This evening my fingers on my right hand started to tingle and feel numb all the way to my palm. On my left hand it s just my finger tips. I also have developed the chills and rectal bleeding. Ive had 4 bouts of diverticulitis, the last was early November. I m not having the pain I ve had with that, however. I take 2 blood pressure medications and just took my bp - 190/102. My husband, a pharmacist, doesn t think it s anything to worry about. ???

As the first line of management, a short course of antibiotics can be started. Do warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist, better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
