What Causes Sore Throat And Difficulty In Swallowing With Discoloration Of Upper Palate?

Hi, I woke up yesterday and the front of my neck (lower neck) is really sore to the touch line someone jabbed me. When I swallow I feel it tender towards the bottom of my neck. Roof of my mouth is yellow and tender. I m not feeling 100%. What can it be? Should I go see a doctor?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Difficulty in swallowing and soreness in neck region requires a clinical assessment of the neck externally as well as examination of the throat.
Thus, I suggest you to consult an ENT specialist for clinical assessment of throat.
Difficulty in swallowing is associated with disorder of pharynx or the part of throat which leads into food pipe or esophagus.
Yellow and tender roof of the mouth could be due to inflammation.
A clinical assessment of the yellow colored lesion is also required.
Further management can be planned after clinical assessment and relevant investigations.

Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM.
You must have contacted with pharyngitis.
Do salt water gargling with warm water twice a day. Use chlorhexidine mouth wash twice a day.
Take decongestant syrup. If it subsides, you might not need antibiotics.
If it doesn't, consult ENT specialist for further management.
