What Causes Sore Throat And Dizziness After A Neck Surgery?

I am a 61 year old black male with high blood pressure, heart bypass, diabetes type II, diverticulitis, just had surgery on my neck to put in spacers, (May) sore throat, dizziness, nausea, ringing in the left ear, and throbbing in the calf of both legs that makes it hard to walk and sometimes makes me cry. Do you have an idea, I m afraid and afford the copays for the ear, nose, and throat or the MRI that the Dr. wants me to have.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* The presentation of narrated symptoms suggest that the component is surgery related issue from possible nerve compression, irritation or else.

* Though primary relief with analgesic and so forth, the MRI is indeed required to reach at the root of the problem and cure it.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
