What Causes Sore Throat And Globus Sensation?

I am 25 male, i had a sore throat, followed with a sensation of something stuck in my throat. it is almost a month and the feeling is not going away. I am a smoker and have been coughing phlegm for some months, before i started to felt something stuck in the left side of the throat. I also felt some pain in the past at the same place, but that was very short term and would always go away in a day or two utmost. I have gone to an ENT, he gave me anti-biotics, them he gave me anti allergies, but nothing is working, The ent suggested that it might be due to my nose which is too diverted But i can clearly see and feel blisters on the end of my left hand side of the tongue and throat, as well as on the oropharynx right behind the Uvula and it is exactly something of that sort that i feel in my throat (Like a pill stuck in throat). The feeling reduces in the morning and grows as the day pass on. I also feel a stretching feeling on the left side of the throat when i wake up. I am also going to a homeopathic doctor, who says that it is nothing but an infection that has developed resistance to the drugs i have taken. and that there was nothing to be concerned about. I really wanted to have an independent opinion before my next appointment which is after fours days from now. I an also really concerned whether this feeling of something stuck in throat is something serious. I am really scared as my family lost my Grandfather with liver cancer, and my aunt just passed away a month ago because of the same disease.
