What Causes Sore Throat And Hoarseness While On Montek LC?

my wife had dry cough after bipass surgery since two years nights nore so many drugs were administered no cure montec lc suggested it gave releief, but sore throat horseness of voice difficulty in swloing observed. will there be such side effects, for this drug/

Hello,

Montec LC may not cause above symptoms from my experience unless she developed allergy to the drug.

Probably she may be suffering from PND seen in cardiac failure. Get it done echo cardiography. Sore throat may be due to viral infection.

Use salt water gargling thrice a day. Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625 twice a day for five days.

If no improvement please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
