Hi. I have a somewhat involved issue, so I am sorry this will be a bit long...I went to help out tornado victims on Saturday and got a sunburn (though I used sunscreen) which gave me a headache and made my stomach off (normal problems for me after getting a sunburn on my face) so I took an 8-hr tylenol to get rid of the headache. I went home in the evening and had a stomach ache and fell asleep on the couch. When I woke up a few hours later (it was 1AM) my whole body ached with my skin hurting and my joints kind of hurt. I had a sore throat and couldn t sleep well. The next day I woke up with a sore throat which went away and I was congested (no runny nose) and my body and skin still ached. I rested all day and tried to keep myself hydrated and made sure I ate some food though I wasn t really hungry. By mid-day I had a low-grade fever of 99.8 deg F and by the end of the night it got up to 100.2 deg F. Throughout the day I took more tylenol to help with the headache and skin aches but at the end of the day I took an advil. I was able to sleep that night and when I woke up the next morning on Monday, I felt better (no fever, though I still had a slightly higher than normal temperature, slight headache and tired easily). That night I felt bad again with a stomach ache, headache, was very tired, and when I looked at my tonsils in the mirror with a flashlight, I thought I saw white spots and thought I had strep. The next morning when I woke up again, I didn t see what I thought I had seen the night previous, so I figured I didn t have strep, however my throat still hurt throughout the day and I was still tired. Now, on Wednesday my throat still really hurts and my temperature is still slightly above normal (but not a fever) and just a trace of a headache is still present. I am about to be on my period which I mention because I know that could be the cause of the headaches, and I also have hay fever which means I take medicine in 3 forms when needed (those include a pill and nose spray daily during allergy season, and eye drops when needed -- all prescription) which may or may not contribute to the fact that I haven t had a noticeably runny nose. I have, however, had an increase in phlegm and it has ranged in color from clear to a little bloody (not out of character b/c of the allergies giving me a bloody nose sometimes) to definite yellow and occasionally when it s a very large clump of phlegm that goes down my sinus to my throat it has been brownish-yellow. These symptoms don t follow my normal it s just a cold symptoms, but I didn t think they were severe enough to be considered the flu. I am 25, 5 2 and 170 lbs. Oh, I mentioned the tornado part because I was helping people sort through rubble and also at one point was in a family s sitting room helping to get rid of their moldy carpet due to rain damage from the tornado. Any ideas of what it could be??
