Hello Sir/ madam,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.
I can certainly understand your concern
I have worked through your query in detail.

I can understand that there could be some infection in the throat which made your lymph nodes get swelling, it could be some viral probably infectious mononucleosis. the z- pack is mainly advisable to prevent secondary bacterial infection.

Infectious mononucleosis is generally self-limiting, so only symptomatic or supportive treatments are used such as ibuprofen or paracetamol for pain, you can start on Prednisone, a corticosteroid, which is an anti-inflammatory used to reduce symptoms of throat pain or enlarged tonsils

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications to you.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
