Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of a bacterial infection, probably strep infection. I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam, a throat discharge bacterial culture, test for strep infection and complete blood count, PCR. Antibiotics may be needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
