What Causes Sore Throat And Redness Inspite Of Taking Zantac For Bronchitis?

sore, red throat going on 5 weeks now, strep test was negative, went to ENT and stated nothing wrong , went to walk in clinic and told have bronchitis, felt better for the 10 days on doxycycline, inhaler, zantac, tussinex. now sore throat and redness back

Hello,

The sore throat and redness can be related to gastric issues.
I suggest using a PPI medication such as Pantoprazole to lower the acidity in the stomach.
I also suggest using an antacid such as Maalox three times a day.
