What Causes Sore Throat And Swollen Lymphnodes Along With Swollen Gums?

I have a terrible sore throat and swollen glands, also tender and swollen gums. I tested negative for mono, and negative on the rapid strep test but I m waiting to hear back about a culture on the strep. I m just concerned because of my gums? Could that be related to my sore throat?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The swollen gums can be because of the gum infection secondary to the deposits over the teeth. The sore throat can be because of the bacterial infection. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get the teeth cleaned once. The other possible cause can be because of the herpetic gingivostomatitis. So consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, we can treat accordingly.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
