What Causes Sore Throat, Fever And Hives All Over The Legs?

Hi, I have had a bad sore throat for three days with white puss in the back of my throat and my tongue has also been white. I had a low fever of 101 the first day but that went away. Within the first few days I couldn t speak or swallow anything. Now I am able to talk but today I broke out into what looks like hives all over my legs and joints. What is wrong with me?

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a tonsillitis or an infection of the tonsils. Based on the fever and sore throat I would recommend to take an antibiotic such as Augmentin 625 mg twice a day for a week. I also suggest using a throat spray with anti bacterial properties. I recommend to drink liquids and rest. To relieve the fever you can take anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen three times day.
