She woke up in pain 2 xs during the hight in pain. I am getting ready to take her to the ER. Am I over reacting?
No, you are not over-reacting as this can be a real emergency to have severe pain in calves after attack of sore throat and fever. - This may indicate DVT that is deep vein thrombosis and it is a real urgent problem. - Take her to ER. Tests of blood. - Colour Doppler of lower limbs. - Proper antibiotic course. - May be she needs admission to the hospital. - Do not allow her to walk. - Povidone iodine gargles. You can give her anti-inflammatory medicine with painkiller property. - Give us the feedback.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
