What Causes Sore Throat, Swollen Lymph Nodes And Fever After Having Oral Sex?

One week ago, this guy i net rubbed his penis along my vagina and i licked The tip of his penis. I am a virgin, and everytime he came on my chest or belly, not near my vagina. He never showed symptomes for any std/hiv, but i started having sore throat, swollen lymphs and fever and muscle pain. Coud i have gotten hiv from him without him knowing that he is pozitive?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat, swollen lymph nodes and fever after having oral sex which seems to be due to bacterial infection from the transmission of germs during oral activity and it could be possible to acquire STD if your partner is infected with that. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests and throat swab test as well and start treatment accordingly. Till then

- Sip on luke warm water and take throat lozenges

- Take paracetamol for fever as well as throat pain too.

- Maintain cleanness of genitals while doing oral activity.
