What Causes Sore Throat With Persistent Cough And Enlarged Cervical Lymph Nodes?
Hi, Cobblestone throat may be due to enlarged lymphatic tissue in pharynx with congestion. Seen in post nasal drip or acute pharyngitis or granular pharyngitis, etc. Treated with decongestants, such as pseudoephedrine, can help to break up extra mucus. Antihistamines can also help. Just make sure to go for a non-sedating option, such as Loratadine. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use salt water gargling thrice a day and water vapor inhalation thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
