What Causes Sore Throat With Red Bumps On Back Of Tongue?

I have a slightly sore throat, and I have red bumps on the back of my tongue with yellowish patches towards the middle of my tongue. I just finished an antibiotic for a bacterial infection a week ago, and I had taken amoxicillin a month before that for strep.

Hello,
After antibiotic treatment, your natural flora may be out of balance. Taking Acidopholus can help keep balance and prevent a fungal infection such as oral thrush. The prescription Nystatin may be required if symptoms persist. Inflammation and swollen circumvalet papillae can occur in the back of the tongue. Warm salt water rinses, gentle dental daily care and avoiding irritants are recommended. Probiotics and yogurt can help establish gastric harmony.
I hope this helps and my suggestions provide relief. Schedule a dental visit if your symptoms do not go away in seven days.
