What Causes Sore Throat With White Spots On The Roof Of The Mouth?

I have a slightly sore throat (better than yesterday), white spots on rear roof of mouth and throat, but no fever. Had nasal drip last week, and dry cough, but no drainage this week. Headaches last week. Throat is not sore to touch. All the water in the world doesn't seem to hydrate my throat.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you had a viral throat infection with a superseded bacterial infection and the white spots on the rear roof of mouth and throat seems to be pus pockets secondary to infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise you throat swab culture to confirm the cause..
You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics like Azithromycin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and use humidifier in your room..
You can also chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
Suck throat lozenges and drink plenty of warm water..
You can also avoid spicy and hard foods..
