What Causes Sore Throat,nasal Congestion And Body Pain After Having Unsafe Sex?

I had unprotected intercourse with a girl on Sunday morning at about 6am. Just today she woke up with a really sore throat, stuffy nose, her body was a little achy. She also said she was coughing a little mucus. She had her period about a week about and started her new pack of birth control last Tuesday. She also said she went to the doctor and it wasn't strep. Is there a possibility she could be pregnant.

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain the symptoms are not indicative of pregnancy but looks like Viral throat infection leading to the symptoms as she has..
Strep is negative as it is a bacterial infection and the symptoms are indicating Viral Infection..

Nothing to worry she can take antibiotics like Augmentin or Azithromycin to prevent secondary bacterial infection..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Decongestant like Pseudoephadrine (Sudafed) can be taken to relieve congestion..
Do steam inhalation and warm saline gargles..
Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
Sip on warm water throughout the day..

In case if you do not find improvement in 5 days consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated..
