What Causes Soreness And Itching Sensation On Labia Majora?
I have a question, lately I discoered a soreness/itching sensation on the left side of my vagina lips. I m very concerned about it. I don t think its a year infections because I ve had one before and I remember it being a lot itchier and not just in one specific spot of my vagina. I m scared it s an STD of some sort. About a week ago I had unprotected sex for the first time, I lost my virginity that night and the day after I got my period, I m very paranoid about the things going on throughout my body.

There are many causes of vaginal itching-like allergy, infection, dryness,thyroid problems, diabetes,psychological stress..But from your history,I feel you might have-
-Infection following sex- fungal infection can be carried by either of the partners to other. in beginning such infection just has itching- growing to white discharge & vigorous itching if the infection reamains long standing.
- Repeated washing, application of soap, other local cosmetics may lead to allergy/ dryness of skin & itching- It needs just keeping area clean, moist with probably some oral anti allergic pills/ointment as per doctor's advise after local examination.
- You seem to be psychologically disturbed after your first sex- this itself may lead to itching.- Needs just councelling, positive thinking, symptomatic treatment.
You should try with good local hygiene along with keeping the area moist- may be moisturizing cream you are not allergic to mixed with a dot of Betamethasone cream, wear loose fitting cotton underwear.Get your doubtsabout sex solved with a good counseling. Be positive.
If there is no responce, consult a gynecologist, get vaginal swag tested for infection- followed by specific treatment -to be taken by both sex partners.
