Hello,
It is common to have pain in the mouth mucosa, very likely if the pain is sudden and strong pain, you are having an aphtous ulcer at the area.
Generally it is expected for the pain to feel better within the next 4-5 days. Sometimes, if it is an aphtous ulcer, other ones may come up in other areas of the mouth.
To help with the pain you can take some
ibuprofen as it helps with pain and inflammation, try to avoid spicy, sour or very salty food that might irritate the area.
Do some mouth washes with water and salt ( the tip of the teaspoon with salt dissolved in a glass of water). Try not to have it stronger as it may aggravate the pain.
If no improvement in 4-5 days or any worsening you will need to see a doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
