What Causes Soreness And Pus Discharge From Nipples?

My daughter has a drainage in one of her Brest. She has no lumps or knots any where but when it started her Brest nipple got sore and she squeezed it to see if anything was there and pus I m came out .its still running a little . Can you tell me if it might me infamation or what?

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
You should consult the surgeon and require examination to diagnose the problem
If it is pus may be mastitis or infections.

Following are the cause of your problem:
1. Hormonal imbalance
2. Breast abscess or mastitis, duct ectasia, duct papilloma
3. Excessive stress and Alcohol and caffine use

You can do following test if remain long time:
1. Hormonal profile: LH, FSH, Prolactin, Estrogen, progesterone
2. Mammography

Treatment:
Tablet cefixime
- 30 min regular walk
- Wear supportive pad bra
- use of Ice pack
- Relaxation excercise: breathing technique
- Low fat diet
- High fiber intake
- Decreased salt intake
- Multivitamin intake
- Reduce alcohol and caffine
- Gentle massage with prime rose oil
- Acupuncture therapy
