What Causes Soreness And Stinging Sensation In The Eyes After Removing Thyroid?
I have had my thyroid removed but suffer all the time with sore and stinging eyes that really hert most of time when I look left and right and up and dowen I and are red and sting a lot l all so get mager pain in my siynuses and they never dran proppely and all so get a really stiff neck and am really tired all the time my blood test keeps coming back fine im sick ove living like this.
Dear why your thyroid removed??? Have you developed Graves disease?? Some times Graves disease patients may develop post thyroidectomy Graves orbiteropathy. stimulation of the thyrotropin receptors located in the retro-orbital fibroblast and adipose tissue by thyrotropin receptor antibodies (TRAb) leading to muscle swelling and increased orbital pressure. Steroids may need to control this problem, etmoidal sinusitis may cause eye pain and tearing of eyes. Other possibilities like conjunctivitis etc may cause this problem. Please consult your ophthalmologist he will examine and treat you accordingly. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions please feel free to ask.
