What Causes Soreness And Supraclavicular Lymph Node After Applying Topical Chemotherapy?

Hi, I am currently applying a topical chemotherapy to remove a superficial basal cell carcinoma on my clavicle. Since I ve started this treatment (about a week), i ve been increasingly sore everywhere and today noticed a pea sized supraclavicular lymph node. The node is moveable. I have no signs of congestion and take no meds other than the cream Rx. Should I be concerned?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Unlike nodes in axilla or neck, supra clavicular nodes enlarges infrequently. If new onset, definitely it is better to get back to your doctor and discuss this, given the back ground of basal cell carcinoma.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
