What Causes Soreness And Swelling In The Throat?

My 7yr old daughter has a follow up appt with her doc on August 1st to see if she will need tonsil surgery. She has been complaining of a sore throat since the beginning of June. She has also been seen 3 times and given antibiotics for tonsillitis. Her anterior pillar on both sides is still swollen a little as is her tonsils. Does it seem as if they will have to be taken out. She s been given 3 different antibiotic.

Three different antibiotic given for that ...
Here culture and sensitivity from throat swab can be done to choose antibiotic ...
If tonsillar swelling more by inflammation than short term steroid might needed ...

Meanwhile salt water gargles done ...
Drink more water
Avoid excess spicy food

If by medication doesn't improvement than
Tonsillectomy should be done. ...

Advise : ENT surgeon consultation for examination and subsequent management
