What Causes Soreness And Tenderness At The Opening Of The Vagina?

Hello.

I have a sexual health query. I have been with my current partner for 9 months now and had no problems.

Last month we had sexual intercourse in a few new positions to try and help me climax. After the intercourse the opening of my vagina felt a bit tender to touch for a day but then nothing. There was nothing visibly wrong.

Earlier this week we had sexual intercourse again to the same degree. After this, again my vaginal opening on the outside only felt a bit tender to touch, when I checked there was nothing visible. However the day after this I noticed I now have a small raw looking cut on the outside only of the vaginal opening. It only hurts if I touch with something dry like tissue and looks a bit fleshy.

I am worried it is something more serious, however the lack of other symptoms and pains makes me think it could just be from the friction during the intercourse, even though it is on the outside of the vaginal opening and not up inside.

What do you think?

Hi

Excess friction could be the cause.Erosions or small bruises can cause pain and discomfort in the vagina.

Avoid any physical contact for a couple of days for the erosions to heal.

Avoid any infections by maintaining vaginal hygiene.Pain killers can provide relief from pain and discomfort.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
