Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Soreness Behind The Front Teeth During Pregnancy?
I'm 38 weeks pregnant and have pretty good oral health normally. (I floss, brush, mouth wash and also do a few natural things like oil pulling) I have recently noticed pain behind my four front teeth. The pain is not bad and usually can only be felt if I rub my tongue along the back of my teeth. On recent closer inspection I have noticed two of the four front teeth are slightly looser than the others and when flossing have also noticed some white tissue forming behind those four front teeth at the back, the white tissue moves when touched but I cannot remove it off the bottom of the teeth/gum as my gum and bottom of my mouth are already sore. Any advice as to white the white tissue could be?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that the soreness and slight mobility of the front four teeth along with white tissue forming and soreness seems to be due to infection and the white tissue seems to be hard deposits over the teeth known as Calculus..
It leads to infection and pain along with swelling and if it progresses it can cause loss of attachment of tooth to the gums leading to mobility..
As during pregnancy the gums become more susceptible to getting swollen and inflamed therefore you need to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated.. Although as of now you can delay the treatment as you are close to your delivery and can wait for getting treated.. Once you are done with child birth you can get scaling of teeth done followed by application of antiseptic ointment for relief..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
