What Causes Soreness Behind The Head After A History Of Occipital Neuralgia?
I am diagnosed with occipital neuralgia and currently being treated for that. However, I feel like there may be more going on. I cannot put pressure on the back of my head/neck at times. Sometimes i need to get on my knees to relieve all the pressure from my head to get perhaps just some relief. What else could it be?

It is a part of neuralgia.
If symptoms persist it is better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated. You have to start on drugs like Gabapentin for symptomatic relief.
