What Causes Soreness Between Shoulder Blades, Back And Neck With Numb Fingers?

My back and inbetween my shoulder blades were sore and neck too. My finger is numb off and on during the day. I went to the chiropractor and he said I had impingment based on my descriptions. He gave me some exercises and said it could take 2-3 weeks. Its been 9 days and no improvement but it has not worsened. I am wondering if there are other possibilities to look into.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have soreness between shoulder blades, back and neck with numb fingers . Well there can be many reason for symptoms you mention in query like musxle spasm of back . pain due to trigger points of trapezius muscle , cerviral spondolysis , shoulder joint problem , lung infection , cardiac problem or lymphadenopathy in armpits . I would suggest you to take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and swelling , do light stretching exercises of upper back and shoulder , apply warm compresses on shoulder blade , neck and back or start physical therapy of back . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order X-ray or CT scan . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with supplements . Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist or cardiologist for cardiac problem like angina.
