Hello,
Implanon is very effective. One out of hundred women may get pregnant while on Implanon. Make sure that your Implanon is not expired. Implanon commonly gets expired after three years and it stops working,
pregnancy can occur in such a situation. Since your pregnancy tests are negative, you may not be pregnant. Stay away from
anxiety and take adequate sleep.
Your symptoms may be indicative of side effects due to Implanon like headache, breast tenderness, acne, hair loss, weight gain, nausea, stomach cramping/
bloating, weight gain, spotting or
bleeding between periods, etc. It should go away in a few days. For relief, you can take antacids and antispasmodics, one SOS stat. Stay well hydrated. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get USG (uterus with fallopian tubes) done to stay on the safer side. You will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
