Hi Dear,
Welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query . The symptoms you mention are clearly indicating condition known as
canker sore .
They are also called as fever blisters . They are reddish and painful in nature .
Sometimes antibiotics destroy the normal flora of mouth and cause mouth ulcer .
I would suggest you to :-
- Apply gel containing lidocaine . Which is a
local anesthesia . Apply it before eating food .
- Do warm saline or baking soda rinses 2-3 times a day .
- Do
chlorhexidine mouthwash rinses twice a day .
- Do
hydrogen peroxide rinses mix with equal amount of water .
If condition doesn't improve in a week the consult oral pathologist for proper diagnosis and rule out causes like oral herpes or
oral thrush .
Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti fungal or anti viral drug depending upon the diagnosis .
hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
