What Causes Soreness In Temple And Eye After Head Injury?

Hi. My 2 year old slammed the back of her head really hard against my nose this afternoon. Since, I have been experiencing temple and eye soreness in waves but my nose isn t sore really. I had a hard time breathing out of my nose for about 45 minutes but now it s just the pressure. I have bad anxiety and need to know what types of things to be concerned about with nasal trauma and what not to worry about.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Temple and eye soreness can be due to trauma to your nose.
Difficulty in breathing suggests that there is some injury to the nasal structure.
I suggest you to consult an ENT specialist for clinical assessment and examination of the nasal mucosa.
Any tear or injury can be managed.
Soreness in temples can be referred pain due to nasal trauma.
The eye and temple area can also be examined simultaneously to look for any signs of injury.

Thanks and take care
