What Causes Soreness In The Abdominal And Pelvic Area After Physical Exertion?

I spent a strenuous day working with a shovel, two days ago. Moved several yards of soil. Since then I have customary sore muscles but also a sore spot in my abdominal area above the pelvis and below the belly button, it feels like my guts are spilling out... gross right? It hurts pretty bad when I jog across the street or if I do anything jaring, ie stepping off a curb or a stepladder. Ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First, you check for any other masses present over the groin area to rule out inguinal hernia. Consult general surgeon if any. For pain take tab Ultracet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parkavi Gunasekaran, General & Family Physician
