What Causes Soreness In The Breast After Menstruation?

Hi, iv just finished my period which was lighter than usual & only lasted 3 days when it s normally a week. My breasts are very sore , iv never had this before . I did a pregnancy test which may sound silly and it was negative. Any ideas why there sore ???

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Breast engorgement can be due to pregnancy, or due to the effect of the progesterone in the premenstrual syndrome, however soreness is not common after the periods are finished. It can also be due to pathological condition in the breast like fibroadenosis.
I would suggest you to consult a surgeon so that you can be properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
