What Causes Soreness In The Gums After Brushing The Teeth?
Hello. I have had sore gums, mainly over during and after brushing, on upper right for going on a month now. I wasn't too worried at first as I had a dental appt in less than two weeks for a cleaning. Mentioned this at that time, but dentist did not seem concerned after exam. However, an x-ray was not done at that time (usually only once a year) and now the lower gums on right are joining in. Only sore at gum line, when brushing (soft bristles). Flossing doesn't hurt much. No swelling, no bleeding. Don't know if should go back for x-ray or see primary doc for Vitamin defic. test. Any ideas, please!
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you have Inflammation of the gums that can either be due to infection or traumatic injury caused due to vigorous brushing... I would suggest you to start brushing with a soft toothbrush.. You can gargle with antiseptic mouthwash.. Do cool compresses over the gums.. Massage your gums with antiseptic ointment..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
