What Causes Soreness & Itching On The Vagina After Intercourse?

Almost everytime I have sex with my boyfriend I have a very sore vagina and it will itch a lot. I keep thinking maybe I have yeast infections and treat it as such but it keeps coming back. Also today when we had sex it hurt deep inside like pressure and stabbing pain. What is wrong?
