What Causes Sore,pus And Red Lump On The Back Of The Ear?

three-four mouth ago i got my cartalige pierced and it was fine i did not feel any pain or anything when it was done how ever i went back about two weeks ago and had my earing change from a stud to a hoop earing and since then it was abit sore and pusy but now on the back of my ear on/above the hole it is like a red lump and im worried about it and dont no what it is do you have any idea ?

Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having infection of the ear with accumulated pus.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have drsined the pus and prescri bed penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines for 5 days.
I would advise mupirocin ointment for local application for 5 days.
Keep ear dry. Remove the earing until wound heals.
