What Causes Sores On The Lips With Fatigue?

Hi... I have got some sores at my right lip joint...The sores are not in internal linings of lips, i mean nothing is inside my mouth, it s only at the lip joint . I took vitamin B medicine from pharmacy... But the pharmacist said this may be because I am having internal fever for 5-10 days... And I feel tired and exhausted since 20-25 days, although my body feels a little warmer but no real temperature I could see in thermometer... because of my hectic schedule since a few months... Is he right? And what should I do for these sores?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Your symptoms are clearly indicating towards Viral infection at the corner of lip leading to cold sores..
Cold sores generally occurs in the form of cluster of fluid filled blisters..
You should consult a Physician and get evaluated, investigation like microscopy of scrapings from the sores and blood test like Viral culture can help in confirmation..
If Viral infection is confirmed then antiviral medication like oral intake of Acyclovir and topical antiviral ointment like Valtrex can help in resolving the symptoms..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
